Since 1971, Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is a public academic institution which is specialised in both teaching and research activities in the field of Engineering, with more than 2800 academic & research staff and more than 27000 students at this moment. CMT-Motores Térmicos is a very dynamic and internationally well-known research Institute inside the UPV with around 120 persons (including more than 60 professors and researchers, and around 50 laboratory technicians and PhD students), and more than 35 years of experience. Its main research activities are focused on the theoretical-experimental study of all the thermo-fluid dynamic processes in reciprocating internal combustion engines, with the aim of responding to specific demands of the automotive industry.
